Hi! I am Sanna. An Experience Designer at Afry Experience Studios. I am a research focused designer with a natural drive for design leadership. My design ethos is grounded in inclusivity, sustainability and design justice. Designing experiences that makes people feel has the power to shape cultures, mindsets and societies. I want to utilise the power of design to reshape our way of being in the world to the better. 

 

In my current role as Design Team Lead for Scania I am leading design work between designers, developers and system architects towards the common goal of creating the best experience for the users interacting with Scania vehicles. The work includes supporting and mentoring designers in their work, being involved in related design work, and making design problems easy to understand in client presentations through visual and digital prototypes. Figma is my everyday working tool and I am comfortable using it through the whole design process from the first sketchy wireframes, to the final presentation prototypes and handover delivery files. I love interviewing and doing fieldwork as it makes me understand and join the desired needs of the users. I love sketching and prototyping as it helps me conceptualise and communicate how these needs could take form.

My design journey started at RISE Research Institute of Sweden where I worked in a research project exploring new ways of utilising urban digital twins to improve participation and dialogue between citizens and city authorities in urban development projects. At RISE I deepened my knowledge in interaction design research and the relationships between design, technology, culture, power and sustainability. With a humanistic background in culture and aesthetics, and a master in interaction design, I blend theory with creativity and functionality, to create meaningful and beautiful experiences.

When I don't work I spend time with my family and friends, preferably in the pine forests of my home county Hälsingland, or at the restaurants around my current home Majorna. I love to capture everyday moments in analog photography, reading, cooking asian food and exploring new music on NTS Radio. The by far most streamed TV in our home is women's football.
